Let’s take an image with a spring scenery and make it look like autumn. For this purpose we'll use two effects: Color Pairs and Glow.
At the first stage of transformation we’ll use Color Pairs effect. Let’s replace some bright green colors of the image with brown tones by setting the effect options as follows:
As a result of this effect application we have an image with changed color gamma.
Now to make it look like an early autumn it is necessary to add autumn colors to the image. For example, let’s replace the green grass on the brook sides with fading flowers having reddish tone.
For this purpose we’ll use Glow effect. Let’s select an arbitrary part along the brook using Lasso, and set effect options as it is shown on the following image:
As a result of two simple transformations, autumn has come.
